The first time I went to an art museum was to the Cleveland Museum of Art. I can remember it like it was yesterday. I was eighteen and it was for a college French class field trip. During this visit, the docent who was our guide asked our class how many individuals were featured in Degas “Frieze of Dancers.” My response seemed to come out of nowhere, because it even surprised me. “There’s one dancer,” I told the docent. She nodded ‘yes’ and reiterated my response back to the entire class. I was right. “Wow!” I thought. It hit me like a ton of bricks –there was this immense connection and attraction for art. Ever since that day, I have wanted to pursue a life dedicated to the appreciation and conservation of art.
